Application for Fixed Deposit Withdrawal [Appendix 8]

From the second year, Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) participants may choose to withdraw part of their fixed deposit for approved expenses.

However, MM2H participants have to maintain a fixed amount from the second year and throughout their stay under this programme – RM 150,000 for participants aged below 50 and a minimum of RM 100,000 in fixed deposit placements for those aged 50 and above.

Participants may withdraw from the fixed deposit for house purchase or refinancing of housing loan, car purchase, medical treatment, children’s education and business by submitting the following documents:

  • Letter of application to withdraw from the fixed deposit
  • A copy of Sales and Purchase Agreement (if applicable)
  • Quotation from the car dealer (if applicable)
  • Letter from the educational institutuion or relevant invoices (if applicable)
  • Letter from the medical institution/medical specialist/relevant invoices (if applicable)
  • A copy of the company registration by Companies Commission of Malaysia – Form 49 and Form 24 (if applicable)
  • A copy of the Profit and Loss Account (if applicable)
  • A copy of the passport (pages with personal particulars)
  • A copy of the Malaysia My Second Home Social Visit Pass endorsement
  • A copy of the fixed deposit certificate, a consent letter will be issued within 3 working days from the date of submission to the respective bank, to authorise the release of the funds
